He suggested a significantly better design than other contractors I had interviewed, provided me with an invoice that detailed the work to be performed, showed up when he said and finished the work in a timely manner. Jayhawk was a tile installer referral from the company that installed our new quartz countertops. It’s always hard to make a decision on using a company for the first time, especially when you are new to the area. Since our countertop installation was done so professionally, we decided a referral from an outstanding company carried a lot of weight and we chose Jayhawk to do our kitchen backsplash and a couple months later to retile our family room fireplace. It turned out to be an excellent choice. The kitchen backsplash installation was flawless and was a big part of updating and improving our kitchen’s appearance. The new marble fireplace tile installation followed a couple months later (they are busy, but worth waiting for). After removing the old black granite tile, the basic fireplace structure was reworked and strengthened. The finished product was exceptional with the 12” X 24” tiles merging together seamlessly. To summarize, Jayhawk (Scott & Tanner) did a good job, on time at a fair price. You will not regret using Jayhawk.

We have had three projects that Jayhawk. Very pleased with the work done. They have a lot of experience, explain their installation plan thoroughly, and made sure we liked the finished results. Sometimes Tanner would get held up on another job but always made sure he communicated with us to manage our expectations. We plan to work with them again on our next project. Jayhawk Tile is incredible to work with! Tanner, the owner, communicates with you through the entire process; from layout through sealing of the grout. They tiled a large covered patio with large format tile which has held up perfectly over two years. This year Tanner tiled our master bathroom floor and shower and installed radiant floor heat under the floor tile. This included tile baseboards and tiling the shower ceiling. We love the layout he recommended for our entry which he used slate.

I can't post the real review I want to give because nobody would believe me. So I have to tone it down to these are the best contractors I've worked with -- ever -- and they delivered results far better than expected by a wide margin. Tanner is just an exceptional person to work with. His knowledge, skill, and dedication to quality appear at ever step of the process. Several times I caught him pulling off a tile or reworking some aspect of the install without me catching it first. He is always pleasant, patient with choices we couldn't decide on, offering choices and suggestions backed by his extensive experience, and just an all around great project partner. He came recommended by neighbors and we've already recommended him to others as well. My only complaint is the time to get on his schedule (months) because demand for Jayhawk Tile is outrageously high! Probably because he does the work himself -- no subcontractors p

Tanner (owner) transformed our master bathroom. The tile work was excellent, but the best part was the overall project management. They handled the demo, sub-floor reconstruction, installed in-floor heating, moved a wall, installed our vanity and did extensive tile work. When you hire Jayhawk you get a great finished product, but you also get excellent communication, promises kept and the peace of mind that the job will be done right. The project ran smoothly and we had NO delays. In fact, we acted as our own GC with Tanner's guidance.
